In the early days, this scenic piece of land was a thriving watermelon farm, beloved by locals and blessed with the calming presence of the Ohio River. However, as time passed, the barn that stood as the heart of the farm slowly succumbed to the elements, falling into disrepair.

It was here that Greg Scott saw not just an aging barn but a world of possibilities. Convinced of its potential, Greg, with unwavering dedication, convinced his father, David Scott, to acquire the farm. Thus began the journey to breathe life back into this fading gem.
Greg painstakingly improved and transformed the old barn, infusing it with rustic charm and modern amenities. With every plank restored, he forged a vision of a unique event venue that could rival the beauty of its riverside setting.
The Riverbarn Village/Campground
But Greg’s vision didn’t stop with the barn. He expanded the property’s offerings by adding comfortable lodging, a serene haven he fondly named the Riverbarn Village & Campground. It was an idea born from the belief that the tranquility of the surroundings should be shared and enjoyed for more than just a few hours.
